With anything that is a medium level and up story? I haven't watched it since Friday because every 10 minutes its Michael Sam over and over.

It's not like it's because of this story, ESPN always just beating a dead horse anytime there is a story.

Because they air 24/7. That's A LOT of airtime to fill.

Sometimes they show some game highlights between their gossip and faux drama.

I haven't watched ESPN for highlights, news, draft basically anything other than actual events in over a month. So glad I don't have to deal with this BS.

I didn't see this wall to wall Michael Sam coverage all weekend on ESPN that everyone claims to have seen.

Was it really necessary to go to the gay bar in West Hollywood during the draft. ESPN got exactly what they wanted on Sat and will be showing that well into training camps. For the kids watching the draft, NFL should be embarrassed by that display.

Be embarrassed because they had more tv viewers? Are you serious?

I give them credit for their coverage. Honest coverage and more important than just sports. Since I am always critical of their pandering to teenagers, I need to applaud them now.

A bit ridiculous.

I've always hated this argument. If they have all this airtime to fill then they shouldn't ingore hockey, half the night's NBA games, 3/4ths of the night's MLB games, College football's non SEC games, College basketball's non Duke games, etc...

I get that it's a business and how important ratings are and all of that but would it really make that much difference to show a Pistons-Bucks highlight, Rockies-Marlins, or Washington State-Oregon State over showing the Lakers-Knicks game for the fifth time in one SportsCenter? I truely belive that people are going to watch SportsCenter no matter what is being shown.

You hate the argument because it's true?

Because they need to get the same news to people that are trying to get it at different parts of the day.

What's so hard to get about that?

OR you could use it as a learning tool to explain whats happening in the world for the kids to understand things better.... Just sayin... Did I like it when I saw them kiss on the air??? NO... But the world is changing and kids need to know what they were seeing and why...

I should have done a better job of explaining, I hate it when people say "they are only talking about Tebow so much or showing the Heat highlights 10 times in one SportsCenter becuase it's a 24/7 sports network and they have so much time to kill" when they ignore most of the night's sporting events and stories to just cover the same 2-3 things over and over again. If they have all of this time to kill they they should be killing it with you know, sports.

Yeah, they just go with the hot topic, which is almost always the controversial topic. And, Pectus is right. They try to reach viewers who are on different schedules in different time zones.
