Just switched to them from Cox and loving it. There is not a local weather channel available though huh? The 2 that I see show South Carolina and Alabama more some reason.

Local weather channel? What did cox have?

I thought the internet pretty much killed the weather channel.

Mine never went out. I think most of those people have shitty signals.

You need to have a technician who knows what he's doing line it up correctly. It should be reading in the high 90's.

eta: I just checked and all 5 of my tuners are at 99%

Yeah. The newer slimline dishes have taken most of the signal problems out. As long as you have it set properly you won't have a problem. Mine has gone out once in like 5 years. Even then it was a REALLY bad storm and only for a minute or so.

I never had any trouble with the directv signal. It really depends on location. There's certain patches where XM radio signal doesn't work well either.

Just don't ever upgrade if you might want to drop directv. They fleeced me for $400 when I moved and didn't keep it.

Where do you live?

I'm in Lake Charles and when I got Direct, I got network affiliates out of New York City.

Then one day, I had local NBC, KPLC.

My CBS channel is out of Alexandria for some reason.

Not sure where my ABC is from. Not near here.

They'll probably get around to putting it in your area. I didn't want KPLC. But that's a different conversation.
