A college degree might be a good way to do that.

The super off chance he might make an NFL roster is a great way to do it

Didn't realize he came out, but he had a nice yr receiving. Had a 100 yd game against a D1 team to start off. Looked like he had potential to be our best TE prospect in while in 2012 til he got the boot. Good size, could catch and block.

Yeah, not to be a dick or anything, but riding a scholarship to get a degree seems like a better plan to help support the family than to announce for the draft, when you're not a prospect. Soak up some loans like most college kids do (it'll pay the bills, since you got tuition covered), and then use that degree

NFL allows anyone in the NFLPA to go to college for 5 years after their career and picks up the tab. I can also promise you Miles would help him obtain a degree. All he would have to do is ask.

Too bad he's not in the NFL. Does it include undrafted guys that don't make a roster?

My point exactly- too many of these guys declare because they "need the money" but end up not making teams. So now they "need the money" but have thrown away their best shot at getting a degree (which should be their best shot at making decent money). Just not a lot of logic in that thought process.
They're dropping out of college to get a job in construction or at a plant, or similar, at the best. Even then, being degreed might earn them a bit more
