I hate the NBA....

I just find it boring to watch, personal preference for me...

Just as some find baseball boring I find it more entertaining than football

But you like college, I'm assuming? Have you ever liked the NBA?

ITT misinformed "basketball fans" will talk about how the NBA doesn't play defense or hustle like in college, players and the game itself aren't as good as it used to be, players are thugs, etc etc

Eta- playoffs and season are too long

Nope, I don't like college basketball either and I watched the NBA when I was younger when Jordan, Bird, Magic, and Thomas were all in their prime

Players are soft but I blame that somewhat on officiating and the league rules.

I wish it would go back to where you had to earn the drive to the lane... not given to you.

I'm a fan, but I'm turned off by the hip hop mentality thats constantly being pushed.
And along with the NFL it's getting a little to politically correct, with stance on thus issue that issue. Just shutup and play basketball

I don't want to know how a certain player feels politically

This. The Magic, Bird, Barkley, Bad Boy, early Jordan years will never be topped. The game was so physical then with enforcers like Rambis , Mahorn, and Lambier. I loved it

I remember people back then complaining that the NBA is too physical and that's not real basketball.

And in all honesty, people have a distorted view of the physicality of the game back then. They see highlight tapes of the Bad Boy Pistons and think that's how the game was. All of those plays you see on the highlights were called fouls. Yeah, they were physical, but they got called for fouls a lot.

And the guard play was more physical, but the post play was less physical than now. It's switched.

Ten to fifteen years ago maybe one player had tattoos..now it's hard to find one without..that's one. You don't see a connection between the two industries? Just how players carry themselves now?

Most of these guys would be sent out of an interview in a real job. Listen to how the old players spoke and presented themselves. It's night and day.

The nba had to invoke a mandatory suit wearing policy a few years back for players when not in uniform.

This is a ridiculous aside.

Most NFL players have tattoos as well. And the NFL has had more off the field issues lately than the NBA. I'm sure you hate the NFL too, right?
