His test was merely diluted due to a large intake of water prior to the draft.
It baffles me how some on this board still think he's smoking weed before the draft. Analyze the headlines, don't just regurgitate them. Jesus.

Well a diluted test still isn't a good thing.
It's suspicious because drinking huge amounts of water is a way to try to beat a positive drug test.
Hopefully Mett's reason for it is true. It probably is.

i would flag an nfl test every day the amount of water i drink.
everyone around here is saying he tested for marijuana. i just don't know what to believe.. but regardless i don't see it as the reason he hasn't gotten drafted yet. murray and mccarron aren't even drafted either..

It may have hurt his stock unfortunately. Regardless, if he ends up with the right team Mett WILL have a chance to start. He's got one of thr best arms & is one of the best NFL ready qb's in the draft

This 100%. I couldn't believe all the top 2nd round noise I heard. Especially coming off of an ACL. A lot of really good QBs never recover from that.

Working in a lab, yep its suspicious. BUT, I would draft in anyways and drug test him everyday with the stipulation all signing money would be returned if he came up diluted or positive. (probably not legal).

You are correct, he didn't test positive for any drug. He did drink a lot of water to dilute his test results, which means he was trying to hide something. 
It cracks me up that some of you guys think he just drank too much water and this happened.
He did what he had to do to avoid a positive test result. I wish he would have just not smoked but it is what it is. And you may not be serious with this post, I dunno

I doubt he would be stupid enough to try and beat s test with dilution. Im assuming they use the gas chromo machine like court does. That thing freaking knows it all. I used to laugh at the guys downing gatorade in the sample room. Its the injury and the fact he cant get out of harms way.

Quit being intentionally obtuse. You don't have to agree that Mettenberger was smoking pot. But, to pretend that someone would have to be dumb to come to that conclusion is ridiculous.
