Borderlands 2 or Wait

I have a hankering to dip back into Borderlands 2 but I fear if I go all in, it might ruin my enjoyment of the prequel.
On another note, do you feel the prequel is a money grab?
I didn't know until a few days ago, that Gearbox isn't making the game so I am worried a bit about this being a quick money grab while they work on something new.

Definitely a cash grab, but that doesn't mean it will be bad. They can recycle the engine with virtually no improvements and give us a new, fun story and it would be a success.

I dive back to borderlands 2 from time to time, and I have fun every time. This new one coming will just be something for the more intense players and a snack until a main course 1 or 2 years down the road.

True, but the humor was one of the best parts of the game and being funny isn't easy so with new writers, the game might not have that fun sarcastic wit.

I don't think we can really speculate about that. I agree about the humor being the best part, however.

The pre sequel will have moon physics and an oxygen meter to add a new gameplay element. It might just be a cashgrab but its not just the same old thing either.
