Former LSU lineman Alvin Puckett passed away

Former LSU offensive lineman Alvin Puckett, a member of the 1996-99 Tiger teams and a resident of Kenner, died Tuesday. He was 35. A New Orleans native and graduate of McMain Magnet, Puckett did not letter but graduated with a general studies degree in 2000. Puckett's former teammate Robert Tyler posted on his Facebook page that Puckett died of a heart attack. Funeral arrangements are pending.
