I think so and about time the wackos GTFO. IMO their economic policies are GWB on steroids and would have wrecked our credit rating and fricked up the slow recovery.
I don't about their other positions, but they have been a disaster economically with their obstructionism and the only good thing about their economic policies is they failed to make any headway and have mostly been defeated, albeit with a lot of headaches for all along the way and preventing any chance of deal making on viable big picture solutions.

You mean cutting spending and paying down the debt would hurt the credit rating more than the ever-increasing deficit spending that's been going on since around 2006/2007?

About the only thing they have been good at is obstruction and fricking their own party in the arse.
A failure and embarrassment all the way around for the GOP.
They are done moving forward except in the really extreme right wacko districts IMO. Hell, most of the GOP is running from being associated with them (except the extreme districts).

"There are plenty of fights still to come, and it's too early to proclaim a winner and a loser. But it's already clear that the pragmatist conservatives have stopped the anti-establishment's electoral momentum," writes Stuart Rothenberg, editor and publisher of the non-partisan Rothenberg Political Report.

"Last night was a victory for Republicans who believe we should nominate the most conservative candidate who can win in November versus the D.C. interest groups who believe the weaker the Republican Party is, the more powerful they are," said GOP strategist Brian Walsh, who served as National Republican Senatorial Committee communications director the past two election cycles.

It's funny how perfectly he just described his own party's initiatives.

So many words, so little substance.
To which specific policies are you referring and why, specifically, will they not work?

Their policies would be effective if not for the obstructionists at the IRS.
Posted on 5/8/14 at 10:18 am to Tiger n Miami AU83
Obstructionism is fricking great in Congress IMO. In my perfect world. Congress would never pass another law. The only votes they would ever hold is to repeal some of the crap that's already on the books.

Maybe once the tards are kicked to the curb, the GOP can get back on track and be worth a damn.

wackos
Reducing the size/scope of government
Reducing spending
Reducing taxes
