This upcoming movie with Barrymore looks awful and will be yet another recent flop for him.

With Dumb and Dumber and Joe Dirt having sequels coming out, it seems these actors are trying to revive their 90s success. At what point does Adam Sandler look into a Happy Gilmore or Water Boy sequel?

It'll probably turn a profit.

That's why he keeps turning out utter garbage. He's basically admitted that they require no effort whatsoever and he can make money.

I would watch a Billy Madison sequel. Billy's a 2nd grade teacher and Ms. Lippy is the principal. Eric gets out of prison and wants revenge.

as shitty as his recent movies have been, I don't think any can be called flops in that they all made money.

2001 close enough You get the gist of it though

And I think David Spade said he has the script written out or something along those lines

So did I. One of the few Sandler movies I like.

And he already did a sequel with Grown Ups 2.

Billy Madison Goes to College. I'd watch that.

He's too sober to make a sequel for that movie

Waterboy sequel

Bobby and Vicki Vallencourt have a child who suffers from the same ailment, but prefers wrestling over football. Squares off with Cpt. Insano's son in Wrestlemania

Sandler isn't going to change a thing. He gets some crappy script. Casts himself as the main character who's usually a rich badass. Casts some hot actress or model as his female counterpart. Gets supporting roles for his buddies and throws in a few cameos.

That formula usually gets him paid $100 million no matter how shitty the product is. He's pretty much the white Tyler Perry.

I've seen a couple of TV spots for his new movie -- that's filled to the brim with shameless in-movie advertising. As if he needed the extra cash.

His movies are made for pennies, so yeah, they're going to make money. Plenty of stupid people he can pander to.

There are enough people who will watch it that it will make money, particularly on DVD sales. Happy Madison, despite producing "flops," makes a bunch of money. He may do a sequel here or there (he did for Grown Ups), but he'll probably just keep doing what he's doing until he's bored. After he gets bored, will he revisit some old characters? Maybe. But he won't do so because he isn't making money.
