What Do We Do About A Kicker??

Do we draft one in the sixth round or do we pick up an UDFA or go with what we got?
We brought in this guy for a look.....
Dont know anything about him but his name is really cool.

Can teams really get a good idea of how accurate/consistent he is? I mean...he did play for Arkansas. How many opportunities did he even get?

If the guy was a punter and we needed one, we'd be all over this guy because of his vast experience.

If we get our targets at C, WR,CB and LB I would have zero issue with this.
Kicker has been a huge issue on this team and has without question cost us games

I agree with this but it's a strange perception of the game that we fans have. Kicker are arguably more valuable than any other player on the field...other than the QB spot. They consistently account for 30 to 35% of the points scored by a team in any season. Secondly, they can stay productive into their late 30s and sometimes into their 40s. Conversely, a bad one can lose games you should have won with that missed "chip shot" (ask Mr. Hartley about this).
I wonder if we'll ever see another George Blanda? It was cool seeing Blanda quarterbacking his team and then line up to kick a field goal (yep, that was a long time ago).

I honestly think Hartley will suit up for us again, sometime in the near future. Unless we drafted a stud, or signed some proven dude.
