sounds to me like one of the bulbs is bad...how do you know they all work?...

could it be the starter?
I would think that the starter would affect all bulbs equally...that is why I suspect either an individual bulb or one of the sets of connectors...

T12 or T8?
It would almost have to be the old T12. The new ballasts and bulbs don't nearly have this type problem.

My long T8 and BALLSasts work just fine.

It's probably the "balancer"...a term that many of the Orleans Parish variety prefer to call a ballast, even after being corrected

got new bulbs...still only one pair works at a time...has to be a wiring issue huh?

If you swapped out new lamps and the same 2 don't work it's the ballast. Trace the wires to the lamp socket and replace the ballast that feeds them. T12 I would assume.

heres something to blow your mind...they have to be in opposite of each other...

I'm lost, what does that mean? Usually the 2 inside and the 2 outside are on separate ballasts. If you have 2 ballasts, then trace the wires out and they will tell you which sockets are controlled by which ballast.

Could they be wired wrong? All I know is they're working
