Solid forwards and midfield. I'm not familiar with any of Bosnia's defenders. They got torched in the second half of the USA friendly, so they've got that going for them.

They subbed out the entire starting defense at halftime.

Btw, it looks like they're cheating. I count 24 names, I thought you could only have 23.

Edit: just read the article, one will be left off

I recognize Spahic on the defender list, and that's it.

Vedad Ibisevic

Local hero to the St.Louis Bosnians

He went to Roosevelt High School, then on to Saint Louis University, before leaving for PSG, i believe. I thought he was one of the top scorers in NCAA the year he left for Europa.

Beat me to it. Spahic has been around for a while it seems. Has played in Russia and France and popped up in European competition.

Kolasinac is probably going to United this summer if schalke don't get too stingy with their demands

I played against him when he was at SLU. He was a man amongst boys

I figure Bosnia can come in second behind Argentina in Group G. Iran will be playing for last place in the entire tournament, and Nigeria is pretty mediocre for being the defending AFCON champs.

In the knockout rounds, they would likely meet the winner of Group E (Switzerland, Ecuador, France, Honduras); all beatable teams given Bosnia's strengths.

High Hopes: Respectable run to the quarterfinals.

Medium Expectations: Get out of the group

Failure: Finish third behind Nigeria and drop points to Iran.

If Yugoslavia was still around, they would wreck shite.

Or they would have imploded and have a civil war in the locker room.

i expect it to start getting serious around here soon enough. Have about 5 or 6 Bosnian families on my street and my neighbor is Bosnian.

I expect the Blue and yellow to be in full force.

If that country stayed together I think they would've won in 98.
