Anyone has any insight as to when he may be getting the call? I have seen a lot of rumors during the last couple of days that he is getting called up. Some guy just posted on Sportsline that he was on the same flight with him to Atlanta this morning.

He wasn't in the lineup yesterday so people were speculating that he was getting the call. I don't think it's happening just yet.

Now is the time to add him, though.

Twitter says it was just a day off after his 16-game streak ended (FWIW).

Their OF is a logjam right now Holliday and Craig on the corners and Jay/Bourjos in CF. They have not had much production of the later 2. It would be hard to justify sending either down bc of their defense. But when he gets the call he will have to play everyday. Unless an injury or trade I don't see him up within then next couple of months.

He'll be up in another week or two, they want him to get as much experience as possible starting in CF in Memphis while hoping either Jay or Bourjos gets hot so he can have even more time.

Things stay how they are, we'll see Oscar this month.

Cardinals general manager John Mozeliak said Monday that outfield prospect Oscar Taveras is currently "average at best" in center field.

It's not surprising, as the feeling across the board has been that Taveras is more suited for a corner outfield spot. However, Mozeliak also noted that Taveras will continue to see plenty of time in center at Triple-A Memphis and could force his way onto the big league roster. Taveras is coming, but he just might not arrive as soon as hoped. It's still a good bet that we'll see him after the Super Two deadline passes in late May/early June

3/5 tonight 2 doubles 3 rbi.

It's going to get to the point that they just can't keep him down any longer.

It's going to be this month almost for sure.
