I have a new phone from work that has a new #. How do transfer my contacts? Since they are separate accounts I cannot use backup assistance. I use Verizon for both phones.

Verizon has an app to save contacts. We had to use it for our recent switch from iPhone to Galaxy.

I'm pretty sure if you go to verizon they can hook it up to their magic machine and move contacts

Make sure that you have Gmail installed on your device.
Open the App Drawer and go to Settings, then go to ‘Accounts and Sync’.
Enable the Accounts and syncing service.
Select your Gmail account from the e-mail accounts setup .
Make sure that you’ve enabled the ‘Sync Contacts’ option.
Press ‘Sync now’ button and wait until all the phone contacts have been successfully synchronized with your gmail account.
Now open Gmail in your computer’s web browser and click the Gmail text link that is listed on the upper left side of the Gmail profile.
Select Contacts and then you should see a page where all the contacts from your Android smartphone have been stored.

To another iPhone or something else?

If another iPhone just do a backup. Then restore the new iPhone to the backup you just saved and everything will transfer over exactly how you had it.

Otherwise, no clue.

You just have to go to settings, then ICloud, log on, sync contacts. It takes two seconds.
