The court was to decided whether or not prayer before a legislative meeting violated the Establishment Clause.
Kennedy wrote the opinion. Joined by the Chief, Thomas, Scalia and Alito.
Here's the opinion in whole.

The essence of the controlling plurality opinion in Greece is that the government can use Christian prayers to start meetings, so long as it does not discriminate against non-Christians.

It's a slow ride with a conservative court.

Good. I have no problem with this. I generally want religion to GTFO of government and vice versa, but this comports with existing law and is certainly not the kind of questionable intermingling that needs to be quashed.

Exactly. This fits with existing law and in no way means the government is supporting a certain religion.
It doesn't matter it is almost always christian.
I mean they should be allowed to have a ceremonial statue of the virgin mary too! And a copy of the 10 commandments.
If we are saying these things are only ceremonial, well then heck, they should hang christian ceremonial icons around the room.
They are just ceremonial anyway.
These ceremonial type of things are not the kind of questionable intermingling that needs to be quashed.
Just wondering, what is a type of questionable intermingling that would need to be quashed in your opinion?
As long as they call them ceremonial, all is ok?
