Moves of note:

The Jabroni has returned to full on Jabroni status.

Raul Valdez DFA; Darin Downs (1-2, 5+ ERA) called up from AAA

Feldman could be back in the rotation as soon as Friday @ Baltimore.

Springer has FINALLY been moved out of the cleanup spot and will bat 6th tonight @ Detroit.

The only positive these past few weeks is that they are hitting a tad bit better.

But the bullpen hasn't helped.

With that said, they're getting shut out tonight.

Yeah. Our 9 hole hitter leads the team in HRs.

(And all AL shortstops for that matter)

5th in assists
3rd in putouts
2nd in assists as SS
5th in Errors Committed
2nd in Errors Committed as SS

All that in AL only

13th in MLB in Errors (Ian Desmond is 1st)
5th in MLB in putouts
6th in MLB in assists
.969 Fielding percentage
last year had a -0.2 dWAR compared to a 0.2 dWAR so far this year.

Forgive me on my 1st grade math, but that's a 1.0 turnaround, correct?

Here's a mind blowing statistic.....

Khris Karter isn't leading the league in K's. That's a fricking miracle. Although he does lead the league in suck.

He's a classic example of a wait and wait and wait and wait and wait and see player.

So much power and just an absolute prayer that the light will come on.

That being said, he does lead the league in suck

What do y'all think of Matty D in the cleanup spot?

Y'all know what a fan boy I am of Matty D but I can't see this experiment working well

I'd put Altuve there, with Fowler leading off and Springer hitting second.

We just don't have a real 3 or 4 hitter on this team.

I like that idea a lot but the only thing that gives me pause is that although Matty D has pop, he doesn't hit for that good of an average and I haven't checked his BA with RISP.

Here's to hoping he can be a spark plug for the middle 3rd.
