Make it go away!
That was the message of the Obama administration and their friends in the media for the past two years, and now we know why: Benghazi is the scandal they always denied it was.

quote:

One memo, from Ben Rhodes, the deputy national security director for strategic communications, shows how the administration was trying to spin the attack as something other than their own strategic failures.
“Reinforce the president and administration’s strength and steadiness in dealing with difficult challenges,” he wrote to UN Ambassador Susan Rice. He instructed her to “underscore” that the events in Benghazi were “protests . . . rooted in an Internet video, and not a broader failure of policy.”

Yes ... but, don't tell that to Meet the Press ... who saw it necessary to lead off with the all-important Clippers-Sterling BS ... and then some other BS topic ... until finally getting F. Chuck Todd, some other lady hack from the Obama Admin, and the usual minions to poo poo Benghazi on the back end of the show.

Meet the Press is now pure garbage. It has hit rock bottom, and I have now decided to just not watch anymore on Sunday mornings.

Always enjoyed relaxing with a cup of coffee on Sunday mornings ... MTP (when it had Russert) ... then FNS with Chris Wallace.

Well ... no more MTP.

If the Dems are going to distance themselves from the Clinton due to her involvement and/or cover up, now is the time to do it. If the Dems know it will get ugly for her, expect them to distance themselves soon...

The Democrats running against HRC in the primaries will likely disagree.

I sort of go in and out of consciousness on the story, but I am interested. At this point, what is the evidence again that they knew the video had nothing to do with what was going on and Benghazi when this email was drafted?

No I think I'm gonna beat this horse, it's not everyday an incompetent administration gets a US ambassador and his security detail killed and then goes on a campaign of blatant lies to cover up the jug eared Kenyan's incompetence so he can get re-elected.

Where was OBAMA!!!!!!

Are you shitting me? Just because the cock-sucking administration cared more about covering their arse then telling the truth about how they didn't do enough to keep 4 Americans from paying the ultimate price, doesn't mean no one gives a shite. There are and have been all along, plenty of people interested in getting the truth out about why protection wasn't given to these Americans, as promised, and then turned into a kindergarten lie. HRC and BHO care enough to continue to hide evidence and cover their asses. They know it's a big enough issue and can only hope that people don't care, because when it's all said and done, it's not gonna be good for that group of shitbags involved in the complacency an subsequent coverup that has become the Benghazi scandal.

It seems to me that if the White House was totally innocent of these allegations then they would be more than happy to oblige an investigation. They come out smelling like a rose and then get to throw eggs on the face of the Reps. It should be easy to defend one's self if no guilt is prevalent.

OTOH, being defiant of the allegations and not cooperating 100% sure seems as if there is something to hide.

This attitude is pathetic, weak, and dangerous.

Absolutely pathetic. Deal with it.

It's an interesting strategy for sure. They have already lost 1 presidential election while trying to score points on this tragedy. Surely they won't make the same mistake twice.

It's always good for Republicans to take advice from Democrats.

blame it on a video, then a couple years down the road act like no one cares. Well it is a strategy, the only problem is that the Admin cowardly turned its back on its own and let them die. Some of us still care.

I think when everything is said an done, we will find that help was not sent because the US didn't want it to get out that we were moving arms from Libya to Syria and that was the reason for the initial cover up...

When the phone rang at "3:00am", I bet Obama and Hillary ran into each other as they ducked for cover.

Our ambassador is being attacked and until this day we still do not really know what either of them did throughout the attack.

We know what they said afterwards was one big made for TV cover-up, but many in the mainstream media still do not care.

Moreover, despite several pledges to bring the attackers to justice, we have heard almost nothing about US efforts to do so. It's almost as if the administration believes if they pretend it didn't happen then it will all go away.

And you know, except for the opposition and a few journalists out there, they are probably right.
