Is there really anywhere or anything to do other than have it at grandparents house? It's my daughters first birthday and I want it to be a great one. I don't think there is anything to do with a 1 yr old but who knows.

Just have it at home. Get her a smash cake. She will love it. Close friends, family. It doesn't get better than that.

If you're not renting out a reception hall then you must not love your daughter.

I want to have my son's first birthday party at St. Arnolds brewery, but my wife won't allow it. I thought it would be a hit with the dads and one year olds don't know any better.

At that age, she will have a great day just being around family and smashing a cake.

My boy is Three and the birthday parties have started to pick up with things like bounch houses, petting zoos, clowns etc. But even at Three the kids dont care at all and barely play with that stuff. They all end just dumping dirt on there heads and playing with bubbles like any other day.

Just do what you want. The party is for you and your family members more than it is for her. She won't remember or know what's going on.

Get her a cake to destroy and have family over for food.
