I think this is the most fricked up thing about WSP.

WSP fans can't ever say Phish is a cash-grab. WSP is the ultimate cash-grab by continuing on after Houser (who WAS the band) died. At least show some respect and change the name like how tGD became simply 'The Dead' after Jerry passed.

What's more respectful than keeping his name in the band title and attempting to carry on his legacy?

It's pretty well known that Mikey wanted the band to continue after he died. Would it really have made a difference if they changed the name simply to "Widespread" or "Panic"?

When you run out of lines to steal from PT it's easy to slide back to the generic WSPSUX line. Phanz have never been the most intelligent specimens

The AXS TV broadcast gave Phish redemption.

I really wish they would've shown more of it. But I was glad they showed DWD>Birds. That was probably the highlight of the show for me anyways other than the Funky Bitch. It would've been nice to hear that on AXS

I don't get how all of a sudden SCI is the greatest thing ever. I know all jam bands get the dreaded "every song sounds the same" label but I think SCI takes the cake in that department. There are never any distinct themes in their jams. It is all hippie brightness for 2 hours. I don't hate it or anything, it just seems like lighthearted listening. Good background music I guess.

I don't get it either, from what I've heard. I was listening to some last night and was thinking about how generic jambland-like it was.

I've always been a bigger fan of Cheese than Phish. Their sound and shows are far more dynamic than any other band I've seen. The difference between their first set and second set is huge. They play bluegrass, rock, and jamtronica or whatever the hell its called so I don't see how anyone could say that their songs sound the same. Not to mention Kyle, Kang, Billy, and Keith swap out who's vocals depending on what song it is. Their percussion section adds a great dynamic to their sound as well.

I dunno I'm not bashing them. I'm sure if I heard the right stuff I'd like it. I don't know enough to make up my mind one way or another.

I've been compiling a list of good SCI jams to listen to. New and Old. If you don't like them after that then they just may not be your style. I'm a huge bluegrass fan so that adds a lot to my favor of them

I really liked when Kyle pushed his solo an extra verse and it just made me happy inside, he just played that shite the real true way, and my heart got all warm and fuzzy. I could and would dance and be a part of your music everyday, and every evening.

Kang, I love you man. Every note you hit, warms my soul dude. Thank you. It's like I'm jamming with you as I'm dancing. I just wish sometimes you could turn up your volume more, it feels that good man.

Keith, the foundation you establish and sustain shakes and vibrates my being to the core dude. I can zone in with you, and it's as if we are laying the foundation for the birth of an entirely new universe man. Talk about low end support. Your hitting some quaking frequencies bro.

Travis, you're just awesome dude. I love you man. The amount of love I feel whenever I look up to acknowledge some amazing vibrations you've just emitted, I am greated with the most pure and appreciative respect. You inspire me man. Thank you.

Jason, you just know bro. The soulful vibes you share with us lift our spirit and free our mind. Some of the kindest and most directly loving interactions with us, and we feel it and let you know we do.

Billy, one of these days were gonna get to have a beer or share some whiskey. When that acoustic guitar takes over, it's just some of the most amazingly beautiful pickin' I have ever experienced. I can relate with so much ease, and your playing fills my heart with warmth and joy.

Kang is for sure a little weirdo.

But the man can kill the violin, guitar, and "kangolin"
