I am on about 4 of my last 6purchases had at least one item arrive late and two of those had multiple late items. They keep extending my prime which is awesome but it sort of pisses me off

Out of probably 40-60 orders over the last year or two, zero.

In five years I may have had one late shipment (not counting weather delays)

I had one arrive late a few months ago. If Amazon uses FedEx smartpost with the USPS making the delivery there's a pretty good chance it will be late.
Never had a late delivery with UPS making the delivery. I emailed them to complain about my late delivery and they gave me a free month of Amazon Prime.

But I have had several items arrive the very next day instead of 2 days.

That must be tough. You order something expecting it to be there in 2 days, and instead it arrives in 3. Horrid.

Prime shipping here is the standard 5-7 days. I am not sure how I've been able to deal. I just take it one day at a time.

So you will be paying $100/year for regular shipping, rather than the 2 day?

Maybe 2 in the last few years. And they were weather related delays.

In the last two years, hundreds of shipments, one. I was refunded the normal cost of 2 day shipping.

More often than not. Every time i get one of those missed delivery stickers on my door I get a free month of prime, so it doesn't bother me too much.
