It made my blood boil. One of the noteworthy quotes:

quote:

Recently, a handful of Senators have distorted and misused their power to obstruct and stop progress on important issues. Louisiana faces serious challenges, and I voted to end this political gridlock so we can focus on improving the Affordable Care Act

She goes on to talk about how she wants to break gridlock and laments the partisanship in Washington.

How can she speak of being bipartisan? Was it a bipartisan effort to shove Obamacare down Americans' throats? No, it was Mary Landrieu acting totally partisan in that historic effort. And now she has the gall to complain that she can't get help from across the aisle to fix something that she and her Party SOLELY messed up?

I can see it now:

After the November election results are in, the Republicans have won 50 Senate seats and the Dems 49.

The Louisiana results show no one has received 50%-plus-1.

If Landrieu loses the Dec. 6th runoff, the Republicans control the Senate for Obama's final two years.

If Landrieu wins the runoff, Biden is vote #51, Harry Reid remains in control of the Senate, and we have more of the same.

Between Nov. 4th and Dec. 6th, Obama announces that through the tireless efforts of Mary Landrieu, and her dedication to state and country, he fully endorses immediate approval of the Keystone pipeline.

Damn, I hate nightmares ...

Mary's TV commercials are going Old White Guy.

"I've been a republican all my life. I like to hunt and kill animals. I like oil and gas. I like the military. And I'm votin' for Mary."

I think one of the independants is caucusing with the Repubs, so the # of seats that Repubs need has been lowered.

That's Angus King who has simply suggested he would consider caucusing with the GOP IF they become the majority party. If my scenario were to happen, he would still be caucusing with the Dems.

If you don't go to the polls and vote in November and again in December, she will be there 6 more years. Vote.

A scenario like that is one example of why it's imperative Bill Cassidy needs to win outright and comfortably. Get as many people to the polls as we can. I don't think louisianians could be trusted in a scenario like that.
