Is the Sterling fiasco in any way related to "Justice for Trayvon"?

If George Zimmerman, had been arrested and charged sooner, then later found guilty of murder, would the punishment of Sterling been this harsh?

I can't help but think the two are somewhat connected.

No.

That would have been a horrendous injustice.

I don't mean from that standpoint, but the backlash from the black community about Zimmerman not being charged with murder sooner and then not being convicted. Did the NBA rush to judgement and overreact as a result of the Trayvon situation?

If the Trayvon case never happened the backlash against the NBA would be the same. Therefore, the fear of that backlash motivated the NBA commissioner.

It's just an opportunistic set of black folks - MSNBC crowd, NAACP crowd, etc. Period. Most level headed blacks couldn't give two shits like most of us.

Do you hear black people bitching about it at work? Nope.

Have we found a way to blame Obama yet?

Haven't been on much before today. I have a hard time believing Obama's complicity in all of this hasn't already been uncovered and discussed. He did weigh in on it (unfortunately).
