Specifically looking for a handyman in and/or around Baton Rouge area that speaks Engrish, can build replacement shutters, paint, stain and pressure wash.

Could I do it? Yes, probably. Will I do it? No, with certainty.

build replacement shutters,

curious about this. Are you looking to replace some decorative wood shutters on your house? I'm sitting on a quote to add some aluminum hurricane shutters on my house but damn I dont want to spend that kind of money. I cant find anyone that does just decorative wood shutters.

The ones I have on my house now have rotted. Not decorative by any stretch, but also not the standard from what I can tell.

What kind of shutters are y'all looking for, and how quickly are you looking to get it done?

I have this exact issue. I've combed the Web and local stores and nowhere have I found the correct size. Mine are listed as hurricane shutters, but only used them once during Gustav. Several are so rotten I've had to take them off, and rebuilding them is more than I have time to tackle.

Basic shutters, similar to this:

Not in a huge hurry, but could do it tomorrow if price is right. Only need paint grade.

Do you sell them?

I don't sell them, but they are something I can easily make and have made for a few houses in the past.

However, I will not be back home to BR till around May 20th. And once I do get back I've got two decent size projects that will probably have me tied up until at least the first week in June. It might be something I can tackle during evenings and rain delays (depending on quantity you need and how many different sizes), but I can't guarantee it.

My company can do it. I've built several shutters and employ honest dependable guys.
