What kind of down time am I looking at here? As in how long until I can run or lift.

Uhm, that depends on you dude.
I had surgery on my broken hand and had pins input, the next day I was playing football, catching etc.

It may hurt but it shouldn't stop you from doing anything. Tape it together with another toe and keep going. Happens all the time playing soccer, its gonna hurt like hell for at least a week or two though.

quit wearing Crocs, dude...I stubbed my big toe so many times wearing Crocs that I gave up wearing them. I am pretty sure the last time I stubbed my big toe in Crocs was the last time I wore Crocs.
