Sunday Paddle pics; Manatees in Lake P?

I took the kayak to Mandeville to paddle. This is the bayou to the west of Fountianblue State Park
It's a nice relaxing paddle. My first time in the kayak since last July. Been dealing with the recovery from two (non kayak related ) shoulder surgeries. I though those that haven't been to the area may enjoy a few pics. Also, the Manatee warning signs were in a number of spots. I didn't know they were in the area. Is this new?

We seem em in Tchefcounte from time to time. When I was in undergrad, two of them lived in this cut north of the interstate for the entire summer.

didn't realize you were getting married TTT.
Don't mean to hijack.
I might head out that way and make that paddle this summer.

Your getting married? Damn buddy congrats, I must have missed it, hidden in the 20 others status about getting married in my feed.
OP I took that same trip last year, not sure how far back you went but it goes to the nature walk back there. You can get out and walk around at the dock.

I saw the dock, but didn't stop. Went another 30-40 yards past it and it got to be only 5-10 inches deep. Turned around at that point.
My yak is 18 feet long so it is by no means nimble. Had to back out because it was to narrow and to shallow to turn around.

Love the PSA. Love that midwest rail
BTW- what was your former name again? You wouldn't be Biff's 3rd cousin twice removed would you?

Yea my former ego is currently cooling his heels after being excommunicated for making threatening remarks to a dog on the poli board. I am the skipper that likes to give you pansy wolfpack boys shite about yals fig tendencies.
Been out to the PR shooting range lately? Was in town most of last week but forgot to bring my guns with me.
