I don't know. Someone out there could probably find it racist.

I was going to say...
The only mistake here is making the "strong latino woman of greater experience than a white man could ever achieve" out to be anything other than, well...

Political bias =/= racism.

Is the cartoon suggesting that Justice Sotomayor didn't have the baseline qualifications to get into some educational institution she attended?

That's fairly insulting to Sotomayor.

Really? I'd never heard that. That's disappointing.

Hmmm. Many liberals would disagree.

Not enough information. Is the cartoonist lib/conservative, white, or white Hispanic? In any case, the amount of racism is very low since CT is a sell out porch monkey with no authentic slave blood. It's perfectly legit to denigrate race traitors.

Would it be racist to have a cartoon of Obama holding a sign saying the U.S. has 56 states?

Cartoonist is a white liberal male- Clay Bennett.

Once again, not enough information. The race/gender of the cartoonist is critical info in deciding degrees of racism. For ex, Ted Rall could do a cartoon of Ben Carson with a bucket of Popeye's chicken in a watermelon patch, and it would be biting clever parody. A black cartoonist could depict CT as Uncle Ben serving a plantation owner a mint julep and it would be cutting edge comedy.

Free your mind from all that "content of character" crap. The only important criteria is the skin colors of the offender and the aggrieved.

It's not racist to me. Instead, it's trying to say that affirmative action is good as long as it produces liberals.

Cute cartoon... gotta say... though I sympathized with Sotomayor's dissent it was mainly an emotional one rather than a legal one. In this case, the Supreme Court got it right, regardless of Clarence Thomas's unyielding stupidity.

Oh, OK. In that case there is a certain degree of racism via the white offender and black target, however it's virtually negligible due to the Lib/Conservative paring.

I disagreed with her conclusion but defended her reasoning. The original AA cases were based on emotion or factors peripheral to the Equal Protect Clause. She used those arguments as precedent. While I believe both to be legally incorrect, it's not like she was straying way off judicial practice with her opinion.

I am getting a kick out of the reaction from the looney progressives over this decision. Makes for solid entertainment during slow days.

Left is scared that there might be a future based on merit, instead of color. AA might of had a time, but it should be over, all it does is foster jealousy and hatred, as it picks people based on color...it is racism at its core...
