Did you print it out on your home PC? That's how I got my state return. The state doesn't even put their return forms in the post offices any more.

I think he means he got a refund after he filed his return. He did reference being able to pay some of a federal tax liability.

It is pretty easy to file your Louisiana return electronically at the Department of Revenue website if you have a copy of your federal return. It is a free service that expedites the process. Unless you have some unusual credits you are claiming it can handle just about all individual returns.

I havent filed my LA State Taxes yet. With what I filed on Turbo Tax it says I will get a refund but when I put it into the LA DoR website it says I owe

I think the LA DoR website does not deduct my Federal Income taxes

You must be missing something somewhere. I always make sure my state outcome matches up with what TurboTax said.

I'm not. It only asks for what my federal taxable income is on DoR's website. Never asks what I paid

ETA: My taxes are very simple. W-2 Standard Deduction and a single 1099-M

I sent so much money to the fed quarterly this year I felt like I was going to be sick. It was unreal. Got less than $1000 back.

Something about it being a case where other paperwork is involved/needed...

Nothing to worry about on our end - just a nuisance.
