Yeah, that one worked out pretty well for the Steelers.

86 49ers draft produced 8 players who would go on to start for at least one of SF's Super Bowl winning teams.

Will it produce four Hall of Famers?

if you were a GM would you rather 4 HoF'ers or 8 starters on SB winning teams

Too bad those Steelers teams, you know, ever won the SB or anything.

well he didn't say that he just mentioned HoF, and that's without even getting into how dubious Swann's HoF resume actually is.

IMO pulling EIGHT major contributors on future SB winning teams in one single draft is more impressive but it's splitting hairs at some level. If you disagree that's fine just don't tell me no other class comes close to that 74 Steelers draft because it's just not true.

I know the MSB hates the 49ers but try to be objective for a change.

You will note that every one of those players started on MULTIPLE SB winners for the Steelers.

1964 Cowboys -

Mel Renfro, Bob Hayes and Roger Staubach...that's about 30 combined Pro Bowls and HOFers.

But personally - I think this is the best draft class of all-time.

1968 Raiders -

Round 2. Ken Stabler – QB – Alabama. Ken Stabler was the face of the Raiders in the 70’s, leading them to 7 AFC title games in 9 years and victory in Superbowl XI. Stabler still holds Raider career record with 19,078 yards and 150 TDs. 1970 – 1979. Four Pro Bowls. NFL most valuable player 1974

Round 3. Art Shell – T – Maryland State. One of the great offensive tackles of all time. . 1968 – 1982. Eight Pro Bowls. A Hall of fame player. Shell was also head coach of the Raiders in two separate tenures.

Round 7. George Atkinson – S – Morris Brown. Hard hitting safety who devised the ‘hook’ method of tackling which was later outlawed. He was vilified by Steelers coach Chuck Noll as the ‘criminal element’ in the league, and played nine years with the Raiders, picking off 30 passes in that time.

Round 11. Marv Hubbard – RB – Colgate. A bruising fullback who totalled 4,399 yards on the ground and 22 TDs at a healthy 4.8 yards per carry. Hubbard played from1969 –1975, making three Pro Bowls.

Steve Wisniewski-traded to Raiders and was 8 time pro bowler for them.
Daryl Johnston-Named to 90s All Decade Team
Mark Stepnoski-Named to 90s All Decade Team
Tony Tolbert-Leading tackler for the defense for 7 years.

The Bears got Sayers and Butkus in the first round in 64 or 65.

Please elaborate

Because that draft doesn't hold a candle to any of these in this thread

He had some great drafts in succession, but I don't think any single year where he matches the OP.
