As of now, 6 of the top 10 are committed and only 1 is committed to Georgia.

01. Trent Thompson - Uncommitted
02. Mitch Hyatt - Clemson
03. Terry Godwin - Georgia
04. Chuma Edoga - USC
05. Mekhi Brown - Alabama
06. Preston Williams - Tennessee
07. Taj Griffin - Oregon
08. Rashad Roundtree - Uncommitted
09. Natrez Patrick - Uncommitted
10. Roquan Smith - Uncommitted

This is obviously off topic, but it's a huge testament to what Les and the staff are doing to keep as much of the home state talent in state.

Not trying to take away from Les, but Georgia has been a prime target of schools like UT, UA, and Clemson for a long time, especially considering those 3 schools can't rely on in-state talent alone and win at a very high level. Not to say Louisiana hasn't, but it seems like other schools are hitting the state harder than ever now.

UGA has ALWAYS let a ton of GA talent out of state. Which never made any sense to me because growing up in GA you would think all these kids would want to go to UGA with how many of their fans are crawling around EVERYWHERE here.

If Saban was at UGA he would win a national title 3 or 4 times out of every 5 seasons, almost guarantee it.

Louisiana is prime recruiting ground for Texas, Texas A&M, Alabama and Auburn.

Louisiana is getting hit harder than it has in the last decade

No one from Georgia is originally from Georgia. You can't look at it that way

I'm confused. Georgia fans were acting like they had everyone wrapped up.

As long as Richt is that head coach over there, it should benefit the rest of the SEC. He's an okay coach but how Georgia hasn't won a NC is beyond me. I guess this just puts it into perspective they keep losing plenty top talent every year.

i think there is more show of it, but what about back in the 90's when all our good players were elsewhere?

Maybe not Texas, but I understand what you're saying, and I agree.

We are getting more top players to stay here now more than ever as well. Many great players in this state went elsewhere for many years

GA also only has two D1 programs and is in one of the most talent rich states in the country. Yes more than LA, just based on population. I always bring this up when people want o bash les and his recruiting. Everyone and their mom recruits Louisiana, Throw in texas schools, bama schools, ms schools, the florida schools, arkansas, oklahoma, ND. Oh and lets not forget ucla and usc have tried and succeeded at pulling recruits out of LA. Yet we still continue to pull in the majority of the top guys here and a few from around the country.

Could not agree more. We do have a special advantage in Louisiana because we are the only true Division 1 program in the state.

That said, it does not take away the remarkable statistic proving that LA kids chose to stay here at LSU more than anywhere else in the SEC.

Major kudos to the staff because in the long forgotten darker days, this certainly was not the case.

Listening to the stories of Fournette, Dupre, and many others, if it weren't for this particular staff, they would have easily left the state.

People forget Ed Reed, the Mannings, etc, that left the state before our Golden Age.

At least the Jackons, Davis, McKnight and most of those who chose to leave the state haven't really been much of a loss at this point
