Midfield and up a bit if you're looking to watch the game

Whichever end/section sounds like the most fun if you're just looking to have a good time

If I ever get the chance to go to Anfield for a match I have my priorities:

1. In the Kop
2. In the Main Stand toward the Kop end (because I've been told watching the Kop is just as fun as being in it)
3. Midfield, midway up on either side

Better view of the whole field up high:

vs.

Closer to the action down low:

Sitting in the rain blows:

...and so does sitting in the boonies - but the view outside the stadium can make it doable:

But free tickets always provide the best view:

Each venue has it's own subtleties: if someone is going to Anfield or a Sounders' match, the answer is different. Matches at Wembley, for example are antiseptic, the main constraint there is wearing the wrong colours is in the wrong section.

Agreed: Free tix are nice.

How are end seats up high behind the goals?

Completely depends on the arena.

Soldier Field is in my post above.

This is Red Bull Arena (Upper corner, so the view is a little different than directly behind the goal - but not much):

I'm looking at seats there because it's least expensive.. plus end to end is the camera angle I use for FIFA so I'm used to that angle on tha x box.

That Red Bull view is nicer than I would have pictured it from the location of the seats.

As mentioned, it depends, but overall, you'll live.

It might suck a little if the stadium is not an SSS. It's still better than watching it on TV.

Everbank Field

I'll be in Florida so I might as well check out the send off match against Nigeria.

The ends at Everbank are fairly low, so I think you'll end up with a better view than my Soldier Field picture.

There are less seats on the other end, too.

I think it would be fine. Everbank was a pretty good venue for watching a game. Getting in (and out) of the parking lots was a shitshow, but other than that - it was fine.

Certainly not the best view of the entire game, but when the ball is in the goal area and shots are coming at you is pretty bad arse.

Just sat in the Centenary stand on the last seat next to the Kop and I was 15 rows off the field. Had a good view but also very near the best atmosphere.
