If I were the other team, and didn't have a truly dominant ace, why not throw some tomato can on Friday night and save your best to go against anyone other than Nola?

While I agree from a strategic point of view, it has to be a moral killer. Pretty much telling the team Im giving them game 1.

I agree. If I were going on the road against LSU, I'd throw my version of a Kyle Bouman and just hope for the breaks to fall my way.

It depends on what midset you go into a series with. If you are telling your team you trying to give them a chance to win every game, then they'll know you're lying to them.
But if you approach it as the best way to win the series, you can get buy in.

Yea. Just tell them to work the count on Friday and try and knock out Nola and some relievers then have a better chance at the rest.
