just wondering what you guys in the PT thought of this bill? It was shut down by a House Panel, but I don't see how anyone reads what this and thinks "yea that could work".
LINK
pretty much says if anyone over the age of 17 shows a gun to a child under 10 they are subject to fines and/or jail time. It does exclude some cases such as while hunting. or attending some safety classes.

Please provide a short recap of the bill in your OP please. It'll help to have it in the title as well.

Just an FYI for those of you who don't live in Shreveport. Barbara Norton cannot help herself. She's mentally retarded. And, to make matters worse, she's the ugliest member of the legislature.

The bill says that if you show a gun to your child you committed a crime.

fricking retarded.
It basically creates the crime of letting a kid 10 or under see a gun that is loaded and doesn't have a trigger lock.

That looks like a Sprague Street transvestite

Pretty close to moronic.
I'd be a criminal since all my kids shot/ hunted at ages 4-6

Again... What does this accomplish to help fight crime?

So Barb finally got elected to something, shocking.
Not sure what the intent was, but what happens all to often is parents leave small children alone or unattended with access to a loaded weapon and they shoot themselves or another child. It happens with some regularity here in NO. But I'm pretty sure there are laws on the books that cover that scenario.

Pretty dumb. I've let my kids shoot guns since they were younger than 10. I guess with this law I would be a criminal. Idiots

yep gun safety in the eyes of the libs and progs, out of sight out of mind

Ridiculous. By the time I was 10, I was at the shooting range shooting a rifle with my dad.

Nothing else needs to be said. Dumbest member of our State Legislature, and that's saying ALOT.
Those who continue to pull the ballot for her should cease voting and cease procreating as well.

To sum this up clearly, does the bill state an adult cannot give/show a gun to anyone under 10?
No problem. That will day when its enforced or passed. Oh I hear the NRA money flowing now.
C'mon Bloomberg send some cash this way.
