My last post was deleted, maybe because the topic was fantasy related, anyways looking for some feedback on Odell Beckham Jr from local fans and such. Thank you.

Really depends on where's he's drafted and who's throwing him the ball

This.

I hate talking about rookies before the draft even happens. Now potential-wise he has a chance to become a wr-2 on most FF teams by the end of the season. Plus he'll most likely get PR/KR duties unless that team already has a solidified person doing that job.

Look at the history

Rookie WR are generally worthless. 1 or 2 a year are even start able.

depends on where he lands, honestly.

Could see him having a rookie year like Kenny Stills just had. Mainly as a deep threat

Or Tavon Austin bc of that big play ability.

Saints are best case scenario for him I take

Or could go to a team w a shitty QB

Or a team loaded with WR

And even as a top option on a team, there is no guarantee.

Dobson and Thompkins were thought to be studs in the making last season as main options for Brady. I still remember the threads guaranteeing 70/1000 for Thompkins

Great discussion guys!

Yep typically takes that 3rd year to catch up to game speed, play book, system nuances, etc.

I do think that 3rd year window is shrinking and will continue to shrink as the NFL becomes more and more pass heavy each year.

Being under Cameron in a pro style system puts Beckham ahead of that "3rd year curve". In the right situation, I think he's fully capable of coming in and producing right away. He's much more polished than his counterparts imo.

I myself am in full agreement with you, he isn't a raw prospect by any means. If he doesn't out right win a job out of training camp, I see no reason why he can't fill in for an injury and never look back.

I would not touch him. I guess you could use a very late round pick if you want (or bid $1 if doing a superior auction league).

I know this is an LSU board and all, but asking this before the draft is a bit ridiculous.

I don't draft rookie WRs, Allen last season was an exception. 2nd & 3rd year guys are your best bet for a breakout.

Wasn't particularly looking for a prediction, simply feedback on the article. Any football discussion along the way is great.

I'd disagree that having this discussion right now is ridiculous as GMs, scouts, head coaches and many more have this discussion everyday.

He doesn't score enough to be fantasy worthy.

Fair enough!

I'd say he's definitely more valuable in PPR leagues but he has the potential for big plays as well.

depends on where he lands, mayne.

if he goes to the Jets... there is a team who has a potential back-and-forth QB situation with Geno and Vick?

if he goes to the Chiefs... he'll have Alex smith throwing to him. Meh.

if he goes to the Eagles... you might have something there.

same with the Saints. I could see him doing some damage in that offense.

the Steelers are another possibility I guess because they lost Emmanuel Sanders. But the Steelers like a short passing game so I don't know if that is the best place for him? Who the hell knows?

Best case scenario for him IMO.

Yeah Chiefs could give him a lot of opportunities to make plays consistently. A team like the Saints would be a bad fit for fantasy just because Brees spreads the ball too much. He would be a flex at best in the Saints offense. I'd like to see him go to the Eagles
