Now that we know who's staying, who do you think will be starting with the addition of Josh Gray, etc.

Can't win big with Hickey as your starting point guard.

I wouldn't be so sure. He did struggle at times this past year, but amazing how quickly we forget how valuable he was his freshman and sophomore years.

And his assist/TO ratio was still near the top of the SEC last year. Even with a role that didn't fit him perfectly.

That's absolute horseshite!

In two of LSU's biggest games this year (both UK games) Hickey came up huge for his team. LSU does not beat UK without Hickey in game one, PERIOD! He completely controled the tempo of the game and kept UK at bay. When UK pressed, Hickey beat it every time. When LSU's offense got a bit unsettled, he calmed things down. JOB and Mickey got the highlights, but Hickey was every bit as big that night.

In game 2 Hickey was arguably the best player on the court in a game that featured potentially 10 NBA players. His stat line was outstanding (20 pts/8 asst/5 rebs/ONE TO in 44 mins!).

But hey, maybe you're right. I mean he is less than 6'0 tall which everybody knows is an absolute MUST to be a solid college PG. I doubt 13 other SEC teams would want a returning 3 year starting PG who at some point in those 3 years:

A. led the SEC in Asst/TO ratio.
B. Led the SEC (and was 3rd in the nation) in steals per game
C. Has been an All SEC defensive player
D. (While he struggled last year) has hit multiple clutch shots for his team

LSU's struggles last year can be attributed to a lot of things, but Anthony Hickey is WAY down on that list. In fact, I firmly believe that Hickey is being completely underutilized by this coaching staff.

Love me some Q. He is one of my favorite players, but I don't think he starts till his Jr season.

You really think so?

He's a point guard that shoots too much and at a low %. 36% from the floor is pretty bad and 57% FT is obviously terrible.
