Will be entering the final year of the his rookie contract where he will make 5.6 million. Depending on how the draft goes for Utah and whether or not Embid falls to them, they may look to trade him (per ESPN). He is unhappy with his amount of minutes and could be a productive player along side AD.

Also, he's someone we could probably sign for around 7 mil a season.

6'11" 250

3rd overall pick in 2011 and hasn't reached his full potential yet

Young, but not too young which fits our GM's basis for acquisition of players.

Jrue
EG
Tyreke
AD
Kanter

Anderson
Rivers
Morrow
Smith
Jackson?
Withey
Miller

Would this be attainable money/trade wise and would you approve of the move?

As far as I can tell, he's never shown himself to be anything special.

He's still riding off all the potential that was seen when Kentucky recruited him, which never made it on the court there due to NCAA investigations of his time in Turkey.

Granted, we didn't think much of "Sideshow Rob" Lopez before we signed him, but he's shown himself to be competent and affordable with us and now with the Blazers.

As for Kanter, he would be a waste of money. If Utah is willing to trade him this early into the process, there is a reason. Somehow, the team needs to free up some money and go after a more established player.
