it certainly has. but, I get to change to "football mode" as soon as it's over so, I can deal with it.

I wish the NCAA would allow fall baseball again. That would be better than fall practice games to get my baseball fix.

Make that 7.5 games. I don't think I can count Alcorn St. as a full game.

I hope that game gets rained out. It will only hurt our RPI.

This from an article by tPOS on the RPI.

quote:

Eight of the 10 teams from the historically black Southwestern Athletic Conference rank among the bottom 30 out of the 302 Division I teams in RPI. Because of the Division I Baseball Committee’s reliance on the RPI, teams from power conferences would be better off getting rained out than playing those HBCU teams. That’s the wrong message to send.

Wish last night would have been rained out too.

@KendallRogersPG: While we’re on bizarre RPIs. #Bryant has an RPI of 40, yet, has played THREE games vs. RPI Top 100. Record? 0-3. Okkkay.

I was just getting ready to post that about Bryant. Too bad the committee is so reliant on RPI. Except in 2011
