I'm an idiot when it comes to web advertising, cookies and such, but is it possible that in addition to utilizing a user's search terms (and sites visited and specific Amazon etc items viewed) and the like to select the ads that show up on TD.com, images that users upload are being used (like google image finder)?

i ask because an ad for Bissell carpet cleaner featured a mutt who looked exactly like one of my dogs--she's an interesting mix, not remotely pure bred of any sort.

Creepy.

It wouldn't surprise me if they do that but I HIGHLY doubt it happened in your case.

all i take it to mean is that your dog is not nearly as "unique" as you think it is.
