People who don't remember you

There are few people I have met but they never act like they remember me. I was that jerk this time! There is this young dude that works for our company. He comes through like 1 or 2 times a year for contracting. I went to our HQ and was walking through a large work area with cubicles and this random dude says hey and calls me by name. I totally didn't place him because it was not at our office.
Do you have people who never remember you or do you have someone you always forget?

I'm horrible with names but not faces so happens all the time.. If I don't remember ur name it's hey bud or what's up man

I have this problem with names.
I'm one of those guys that gets called by his last name. So everybody's like "hey, ______" what's up?" And I'm like "hey you".
I say frick it cause it's easier for them to remember a last name.

I am horrible with names. I can remember faces easily but I can never remember names to save my life.

I'm bad with names but awesome with faces. So I'll usually at least know if I met a person or not and act accordingly. It happens, though.
It doesn't bother me if someone doesn't remember me, so I'll try to make it as painless as possible and move on if it's clear I remember them and they don't remember me. Again, it happens.
In either case, don't dwell, figure it out and go.

I don't care if people don't remember me. I am SO bad at remembering people. I can meet someone 3 times and not remember.

Please don't get too pissed at people who forget you. We can't help it! We don't like it that we forgot you, or your name, or that time you laughed at our joke, or whatever. It's simply lack of cognition. The ole bean just doesn't operate effectively sometime.

A guy I split a house with for 2 years. 20 years later and he didn't recognize me at all. Of course shaving the beard and losing 40 lbs has a lot to do with that but still.

I don't remember a person's name unless I have heard about them many times before I meet them. If I meet a person and I find them to be ordinary, I don't remember them. Names and faces usually take two or three times to remember.
Two of my best girlfriends told me that they met me like 6 times before we became friends. In that situation, we were in college and I was drunk every time I met them.
