of carbon dioxide.

If actions speak louder than words, Obummer just told all you hippies what he thinks about Planet Earth.

quote:

President took Marine One chopper to Andrews Air Force Base and will fly to Washington state and Tokyo, Japan on Tuesday

'Earth Day is about taking action,' the White House declared shortly after takeoff

Air Force One consumes 5 gallons of jet fuel for every mile it flies

The U.S. Energy Information Administration estimates that burning the fuel emits 21.1 pounds of CO2 per gallon

Total presidential fuel consumption for Earth Day, not including automobile motorcades, is an estimated 35,609 gallons

How is this possible? Jet fuel only weighs 6.7lbs per gallon

The carbon in the fuel separates from the hydrogen and combines with oxygen in the air... Most of that weight actually comes from the oxygen in the air.

I'm not an Obama fan... Like at all... But I don't have a problem with the President of the United States using more than his fair share of petroleum products.

What I hate is Hollywood stars that push an agenda while flying private jets everywhere. The President has a slightly better excuse IMHO.

I hate it but at least it's for legit gov't purposes and advancing the business of this country.

Private citizens who do this and spout earth day gospel have no room to talk.

I agree with you, but it does seem like the man and his family are quite extravagant. It would actually make for a better public statement if he specifically cancelled a trip or two in honor of Earth Day, even if only symbolically significant.

Well yeah, with Michelle traveling everywhere and renting out entire floors of hotels... But I'm not going to complain about using AF1. Have you seen the inside of that thing?

I love this line from the article:

The left is about Politics, and winning elections. They are about dividing people in every angle. It ain't about the Earth, or green energy. Wake TFU...

Don't say that to Al Gore. His head might explode.
