It's going to get interesting down the stretch. As of today, it looks like 4 of the seeds are in place - Virginia, FSU, Big 10 winner (Indiana), and Big 12 winner (Texas). That leaves 4 spots.

3 spots will go to 1) top 3 SEC teams in RPI, or 2) top 2 SEC teams in RPI and Rice.

The remaining spot will go to the winner of a low RPI conference that puts up a gaudy win-loss %, which will be between Cal Poly and ULL. Big West RPI is 6, while Sunbelt RPI is 9. Cal Poly probably has the inside track coming off of a sweep of CSF.

As for the Tigers, I think there's still a shot, but we will have to win the West, finish Top 3 in SEC regular season, and perform well in SEC tourney.

What say you?

Got 4 SEC series left. Tenn, A&M, Bama, and Auburn. LSU has a good shot at getting a national seed.

Bama has SC, Florida, Moo State, and LSU left to play. About to find out how good they are.

Don't think ULL comes close to a national seed. They will lose a few more and their RPI will be in the teens or lower.

we really need to sweep 2 of the 4 remaining series and win the other 2. You guys should recall that there is no love for LSU in that selection committee.

Indiana won't get a national seed. They may end up hosting a regional, but that's the extent of it.

Unfortunately for ULL, they must win every game and hope their RPI holds up. However, their RPI dropped 5 spots after beating UTA (RPI 155) in the 1st game. And they have series against RPIs 112, 124, and 148 left.

I just hope ULL gets a regional. I don't want them to be the #2 in our regional.

Unless ULL shites the bed completely down the stretch, they will get a regional. With their schedule, they're looking at single digit losses - the committee will give them a regional even if their RPI drops to the low 20s.

This. And I don't want them paired with us if we host a super.
