One of my sons is in the early stages of working towards becoming a real estate appraiser. Any ideas on where he could look for summer job opportunities in real estate/appraisal industries? Not qualified yet to work as an appraiser apprentice.

If he goes to LSU, tell him to join the SREA and then ask them.

That's the hardest thing about breaking into the appraising business. Nobody wants to hire an apprentice.

This is far from the truth.

Purp, I think I responded to one of your threads about this in the past - your best bets are to get in touch with Cook, Moore & Associates in BR or CBRE in Nola if he's in LA; they're two of the better commercial firms around. Good luck

You did and many thanks. He's met with Wesley Moore who is a really good guy. No openings there at the moment.

He is. Wish I could offer something here but we don't have any openings right now either.
