Does anyone agree that the win helps the team turn the corner and we make one of our famous runs to finish the season strong?

Or was PM just trying to pump up the team and build their confidence a little?

Ehh, the team still has serious issues hitting the ball, but the game was huge for LSU's chances to win the SEC and get a top 8 seed.

Meh, I'd still like a bit more offense. I think we have the right 9 in the order though. Hopefully he keeps it.

Yes, I think its very pivotal for alot of reasons. Hale proved it to everyone he should be in the line-up permanantly, a part in scoring 5 of the 7 runs in the series. He looks to be taking a leadership role, which is good. Third game pitching showed alot of moxy on the road, and that will embolden this team going forward. Moving Bregs, showed that coaching is doing what it takes to win, and that may have been a big step in going forward, from a psycological stand-point.

It was a big series win and gives us momentum heading into the next two weekends where the schedule eases up a little. We'll have a chance to really go on a roll.

Not sure. If this team can keep doing enough to win every series sure. As far as making a famous run, a la 2008, I highly doubt it. One thing can be said about this team and that's that they're very scrappy, win ugly, and have the grit to fight tooth and nail for these series wins.

Question for CPM: Does it take a "pivotal" game to finally come to your senses and put a lineup out there that seems, by consensus, to be better than what you've stubbornly insisted on putting out there? I get tinkering around in the early stages of the season, but if it was obvious to everyone here, how was it not obvious to you?

I agree that we have a chance to go on a roll now, and that the bats have to be more consistent.

Obviously, CPM filed an extension on his taxes.

We still only got 5 hits. It's not like the new lineup provided an offensive explosion.

Your point taken, but that wasn't my point.

We don't have a lineup that is going to provide and offensive explosion. I think this one gives us the best offensive and defensive combination.

LSU has 12 shutouts and has yet to be shutout, which is hard to believe considering the offensive struggles.

I do, too. I don't think we will see this same lineup against a lefty starter, i.e., Moore won't be playing first base.

I sure had more confidence with Suh-vick catching than with Chinea behind the plate.

I have more confidence in GT behind the plate than Chinea.

There aren't many signs that this team is going to become a real offensive threat.

I don't see this team turning the corner and significantly improving. I'm pretty sure that what we see is what we get for the most part.

Just please keep Sunday's line-up card as the new base model.
