I bought a set of Hohner Blues Rocker harmonicas maybe six months ago. I've had no problem with them, but recently, I'm having trouble with the A harmonica: some notes are coming out doubled--the sound is similar to a trilling flute, that's the best way I can describe it.

I checked the note holes and there's nothing in them, and I'm playing the same way I always do, so ...

What do you think the problem is? Is this something that happens with cheap harmonicas? Anyone else had this problem?

I'm going to Sam Ash tomorrow, where I bought these harmonicas, but I figured I'd pose the questions here as well.

Not a clue, do you mean that you are getting two notes when you're trying to play a single? Take it apart and soak the reeds in vinegar for a bit to clean it but I'm still playing a Hohner Blues harmonica in a that I've had for years and only cleaned a handful of times.

ETA: Harmonicas made with wood are a bit harder to play than those with plastic. I prefer the Hohner Blues bender, no wood and a smoother play.

Yeah, that's basically it--and as I wrote, I've had no problem with the thing until the last day or two. I'll mention your suggestion when I talk to the guy at Ash tomorrow, thanks.
