Why is FX so stingy with their On Demand offerings?

I wanted to get all caught up on Justified and Archer but they only go last 3 episodes for each.

Aren't most of the channels doing similarly? I know every once and a while, they'll have "marathon" weekends or weeks where they'll make available all or whole seasons. But normally, I thought, it would be just the previous 3-4 episodes.

I assume it's because they license them to amazon and Netflix. But I think FxNow is a thing but I haven't checked it out so in not sure what is on there.

Yeah, I noticed they have a lot of programming on Amazon Instant Video. For free, too.

That's cool, though. I watched S1 of The Americans and got hooked. I still need to watch AHS S1.

On demand sucks anyway. Its impossible to get out of a show and back to on demand without jumping back to TV unless you fast forward to da end as far as I know. And the fast forwarding is terrible.
