Some quick facts from 1972, 42 years ago! It's been one hell of a drought Rebs!

President: Richard M. Nixon
Vice President: Spiro Agnew

Cost of a new home: $30,500.00
Cost of a gallon of regular gas: $0.36
Cost of a dozen eggs: $0.52
Cost of a gallon of Milk: $1.20

How many people were alive then?

The funniest part of this is that OM's last Omaha appearance is 9 years more recent than their last SEC Championship in football.

It's sad I just got the Agnew reference on Futurama. Thanks Ole Miss.

It's a shame that there are generations of ole miss fans, dating back to the the 70's & beyond(60's in football), that have never experienced their team winning, or at least qualifying to play for, anything of real importance. No SEC titles, no Omaha. Sad. Very sad. But you gotta hand it to the weebles, they still show up to support their teams & occasional brain farts by LSU teams give them big moral victories to carry on & make it seem worth it.

Just to hammer the fact home that they suck all around...Ole Miss hasn't won the SEC in Football since 1963.

51 seasons ago.

Les Miles was a 10 year old...
