Basketball didn't change much. They did introduce a nice grey.
Supposedly a lot more to come from the official unveiling this evening. This is just what leaked so far. Rumors of stuff with Fighting Illini. Including a matte orange helmet and chrome orange.

I think Nike did well. Not much of a direction to go since Chief was lost. Brought consistency and a major upgrade over what they had.

New unis...great. But, can someone exlain how a university with such resources can possibly be sooooooooooo bad in athletics ? Christ they're in the wee10....football/absolutely terrible,basketball/long slow decline to the pits, baseball/non-existent.....even the womens programs are poor !

Basketball declined when Bruce Weber decided he didn't want to recruit anymore. Groce has the program trending up.
Football has always been the question mark for me. They didn't emphasize it for a while and then a couple bad hires. I don't have much faith in Beckman. If he doesn't get above .500 this year he's gone.

Those uniforms....i like them a lot!! The all white uniforms look freaking sweet. I also agree that Illinois should be much much better in sports in the B1G. It's the biggest state population wise and has the 1st/2nd basketball city in America. No reason for them to not be a top 25 program in football or basketball...none!
