i just started, due to the rave about the show. Im 2 episodes in and its just mehh.. nothing that is holding my attention. Will it get much better soon? I have watched walking dead, breaking bad, and sons of anarchy and was looking for a new series so i started this one. Maybe its just starting slow

It gets more dramatic. It's the nature of the show that he makes a bunch of moves where the goal is unclear and then there is a reveal or "aha!" moment. This happens a few times. There are only really a handful of moments of traditional action in the series though.

Stick with it for a couple of more episodes.

I'm 9 episodes into S1 and still don't really get the hype. It's just ok.

I mean it is a fast moving show, one made for back to back viewings. It honestly just might not be for you if you aren't into it at this point.

Just accept it will feel like you are missing something at times, and things become more clear throughout the show.

Episodes 11-13

That's the payoff. Everything else is build up

Honestly if you aren't hooked by episode 2, it may just not be your thing. I couldn't get out of the first monologue before knowing I would love it.

Same here but got to episode 4. Thinking about giving it another shot.

I thought Mad Men was horrible first few times I watched it and now I love that show.

I was after like 10 minutes of the first episode. Spacey stole my attention for himself.

The dialogue is incredible but fast and intelligent, the plot is complicated, and if you don't like it, its just not for you.

I will say season 2 had a bunch more "action" as in major plot developments each episode.

If you weren't enthralled in the first few minutes of the pilot then this show isn't for you. I think the pilot is the best episode of the season and perhaps the series. The first ep of S2 is pretty great as well.

Probably helps you enjoy it if you enjoy rooting for reprehensible characters.

Well this country is full of morons who'd rather see GI: JOE Return of the CGI Villain than see something based largely on fast, intelligent dialogue.

There's a reason a lot of women don't like House of Cards as much as men as well. The characters are cold, calculating, and intelligent as opposed to light, fluffy, and romantic.
