Feeding the paranioa

quote:

Republican Rep. Peter King said Wednesday that Sen. Rand Paul as president would be “disastrous,” charging that the Kentucky senator brings discussions on national security and foreign policy to a “hysterical level.”

“I think his views would be disastrous,” the New York congressman said on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.” “I think he appeals to the lowest common denominator. This is an isolationist wing from the 1930s.”

quote:

...conservative columnist Rich Lowry wrote Tuesday in the National Review that the Kentucky senator and potential 2016 candidate’s “instincts sometimes seem more appropriate to a dorm-room bull session than the Situation Room.” Lowry also writes for POLITICO.

quote:

Bret Stephens similarly took Paul to task in the editorial pages of the Wall Street Journal on Monday, writing Paul is not qualified to be president.

“What we need as the Republican nominee in 2016 is a man of more glaring disqualifications. Someone so nakedly unacceptable to the overwhelming majority of sane Americans that only the GOP could think of nominating him,” Stephens wrote. “This man is Rand Paul.”

Pretty strong words.

"As we in the party say so. When he plays by OUR rules then he may be more qualified".

I think they left this part out.

Calling Peter King a conservative is like calling Saddam Hussein a pacifist.

This. It's the establishment GOPers that are trying to take Rand down, not conservatives.

A Want would be wise to not confuse the two.

These Neocons/Decepticons DO NOT represent America. The represent defense contractors and the war industry.

For a recent example, not only does John McCain want to arm Al Qaeda, of all f'n people, in Syria he now want to send more arms to the Ukraine. Who benefits? Defense contractors.

Send foreign aid to said country ----> send arms to said country -----> defense contractors receive payment from said country from foreign aid ------> defense contractors contribute to Neocons political campaigns.

These f'n Neocons are deadly to innocent service men and at their core they are down right evil.

If you guys would read beyond the first paragraph, you'd see there are columnists from the National Review and WSJ also chiming in with concerns.

And I promise you this: chalking up all critiscism to liberal media, RINOs, etc., will not serve you well in the long run. The "establishment GOP" is a hell of a lot bigger and more influential than any other in the republican party.

The footsoldiers of AIPAC and the MIC have gotten their marching orders. Last week on MSNBC, one of the commentators said that a Republican who's saying the things that Paul is saying would be a serious threat to Hillary in the general election, but Hillary can rest assured knowing that the Republicans will move heaven and earth to stop Paul from getting the nomination.

And it all came out this week (minus Jennifer Rubin of WaPo who has an obsession with RP). This was a coordinated attack on RP by the establishment to quell his momentum. This won't be the last coordinated attack either. They are really worried.

Do you think a Rand Paul or Ted Cruz is more electable than a Jeb Bush, Chris Christie or Mitch Daniels?

Why are you so obsessed about what Republicans think of each other?
