In South LA (or if you already do have one), where would it be and why?

As much as I love the challenge of fishing in lake P, I'd have a place on Hopedale highway. Only a few minutes to my duck lease by boat, and infinite fishing grounds. I could also get away with having something like a Hells Bay if I had a place to keep it down there too, and wouldn't have to deal with much big water to find fish.

probably around big lake because of the duck hunting and year round fishing

I would pick lower terrebonne because I live in Thib and can be there in an hour. But I think Venice would be awesome too, it's just that it's in BFE!

Venice. Fishing mecca and good duck hunting.

That's the only thing keeping me out of Venice. If I had a place in Hopedale, I could be there in an hour and 15 minutes from the northshore. Venice, not so much.

I do really enjoy our place in Dulac. A ton of fish in Terrebonne and a short drive from BR. Offshore isnt much further and I'd argue we have the most trout in south LA.

Venice or Grand Isle. Leaning towards Venice because duck hunting and it's not as much of a hurricane magnet.

too many people in GI and the access to good inshore fishing doesn't compare to other places

eta: it is a hell of a lot of fun though

That's why I would have the camp there.

Could fish other places when I was REALLY mad at them.

What am I missing here. Never been to venice but it is 150 miles from BR and Grand Isle a 145 miles. By the comments here it seems like there would be a larger distance. Everyone makes it seem Venice is ridiculously far away. Is it the road quality or just a mental thing.
