No way will they give Roberts 3 mil next year so if we get rid of one more guy with a bad taste in suits I'll be happy.

Who says they have to? Demps knew the market for Smith was less than his qualifying offer, so he didn't tender the offer and resigned him for less than the QO. Now if we don't extend the QO, we lose any bird rights we have for him meaning we can only offer him the minimum, an exception or cap space. So if we don't want to spend any more than the minimum, someone can offer him $1.5 million per year and we wouldn't be able to match it. So there is some risk involved in not extending the QO, but based on his track record with who he's resigned and given QO's to, I think Demps will take the risk that no one goes after Roberts rather than pay 2.5-3 times market value to keep him.

If Roberts stays it is at the expense of Rivers/Morrow and to some extent Jackson. I will be seriously pissed if Demps keeps Roberts cause Monty loves him so much and we see either of the former get traded / leave in FA. It's a big question mark though whether we can afford Morrow now.

ETA: I'm hoping the Roberts decision gets made after the Morrow domino falls. If you have to slide Rivers to the 2 because you can't afford Morrow, then so be it.

Right, we're overloaded with guards and now that they see Tyreke and Rivers are capable of playing some point and are better at D he's useless on this team especially with the Pierre option. If we need him for shooting I much rather keep Morrow around for that.

It's been real, Aminu.

Real what, I don't know, but it's been really...something.

Does anybody, literally ANYBODY, have even a single speck of evidence that Monty is all Romeo for Robert's Juliet? Just one speck? Like a quote? An advanced statistic? An incriminating photo? Anything? Bueller?

I get that AR has been beasting in extended minutes, and he's shown lots more potential this season. It's good for AR and I'm happy that he's finally showing flashes of the player we drafted him to be....But is it so wrong for Monty to give the guy who's been playing professional basketball for 6 years (in Europe and NBA) and who's in his hoops prime (age 28) a few more minutes over a young 21 year old who's literally growing into his game as we speak?
